Yakima, WA – Today, the Dan Newhouse for Congress campaign announced the Hunters Heritage Council endorsed Congressman Dan Newhouse for re-election. The Hunters Heritage Council is a Washington State based organization dedicated to political action on behalf of the hunting and related communities of Washington.
“I am very pleased to receive the endorsement of the Hunters Heritage Council which represents a variety of sportsmen and conservation groups across Central Washington and the entire state,” Congressman Newhouse said.
The Hunters Heritage Council represents 30 hunting, trapping, and fishing organizations representing all regions of Washington State, including the Inland NW Wildlife Council, Northwest Sportsmans Club, Safari Club International, Washingtonians for Wildlife Conservation, and Washington State Trappers Association. In the endorsement, the Council called Congressman Newhouse a “true champion” on the Council’s issues, which focuses on supporting wildlife regulation based on science, not on politics.
“Growing up in Central Washington, I fully understand our way of life is dependent upon the ability to enjoy outdoor recreation and our beautiful natural landscapes. Access to public lands and the right to hunt, fish, shoot, and trap, must not be impeded. I look forward to continuing to work to ensure our rights are not obstructed by unnecessary federal regulations,” said Congressman Newhouse
